Candy Crush Saga Drops Sweet New Beats with Top Artists
Candy Crush Saga is making a splash in the music world with the launch of its Music Season tournament. Teaming up with Kimbra, TOKiMONSTA, and Łaszewo, the game is dropping three brand-new tracks inspired by its iconic in-game sounds. These tracks are being released as vibrant music videos directed by the celebrated duo, WATTS, inviting everyone to reconnect with the joy of play.
Play and Music: A Perfect Match
This move comes as new research from King®, the creators of Candy Crush Saga, reveals that 75% of American adults have lost touch with their playful side, and 82% believe engaging in daily play can significantly boost overall well-being. Dr. Jane McGonigal, a prominent researcher, emphasizes the importance of play for reducing stress and boosting creativity. She points out that music is a powerful form of play, from discovering new songs to enjoying live concerts.
Meet the Artists Behind the Tracks
Candy Crush Saga’s partnership with Kimbra, TOKiMONSTA, and Łaszewo offers a unique twist on the game’s signature sounds, transforming them into three new exclusive tracks:
- Kimbra ft. Candy Crush, “Honeycomb”: A nostalgic yet explosive track filled with signature candified sounds.
- TOKiMONSTA ft. Candy Crush, “Floating”: A blend of electronic beats and iconic Candy Crush elements, pushing the boundaries of the artist’s genre.
- Łaszewo feat. Candy Crush, “Too Sweet”: A dynamic track that combines in-game audio with catchy lyrics, breaking traditional musical molds.
Kimbra shared her excitement, saying, “Sampling Candy Crush sounds was a delightful reminder of the joy and freedom that music allows. I’m so proud that ‘Honeycomb’ has made it onto my upcoming album.”
The Music Season Tournament and Sweet Sound Passport
These tracks are part of Candy Crush Saga’s third annual Music Season tournament, where players compete in music-themed challenges for special rewards. This year’s standout prize is the Sweet Sound Passport, which gives the top 10 players tickets to three concerts of their choice, anywhere in the world. The free-to-enter tournament is open to anyone over 18 who has reached Level 25, across 21 markets worldwide.

Luken Aragon, VP of Marketing for Candy Crush Saga, shares the motivation behind this collaboration: “Candy Crush Saga is about creating joyful experiences and making the world playful.
