This 50lb Phone Case Will Challenge Your Strength While Playing Clash Royale – Here’s Why It Exists

Clash Royale Introduces a Phone Case Like No Other

Weighing a staggering 50lb (22.6kg), a custom phone case built with dense metal beads has been unveiled by Supercell, the developers of Clash Royale. The company claims it may very well be the world’s heaviest phone case, and it was created to celebrate the arrival of two powerful new Card Evolutions in the game. Last week, two fan-favorite characters, P.E.K.K.A and Mega Knight, received significant boosts in their ‘Evolution’ forms, prompting this unique creation.

The project took over 600 hours and involved a team of 16 people to design and bring the massive phone case to life. But why create such a heavyweight device? Supercell wanted to highlight the epic nature of these in-game evolutions with something equally impressive in real life.

Strongman Eddie Hall Takes on the Challenge

To put the device to the test, Clash Royale enlisted the help of world-famous strongman and internet personality Eddie Hall. Known for his impressive feats of strength, Hall gave the phone case its first trial during a special event coinciding with UFC 306 in Las Vegas, where Supercell promoted its in-game event at the iconic Sphere.

Even Hall, a man known for lifting incredible weights, found it difficult to manage the heavy phone case while playing Clash Royale. Fans, too, struggled to maintain control of the 50lb device during gameplay. Supercell later introduced a lighter, 25lb (11.3kg) version for fans, but even that was no easy feat to handle while gaming.

Eddie Hall commented on the experience, saying: “It’s the most fun I’ve had playing a game while working out at the same time. I challenge anyone to get through a three-minute round of Clash Royale while holding this case!”

Clash Royale: The Game That’s Pushing Boundaries

For those unfamiliar with Clash Royale, it’s a fast-paced, 1v1 strategy game where the goal is to destroy your opponent’s towers. Players collect cards to build their team of over 100 troops and command them in the arena, attempting to outmaneuver their opponent with clever strategy.

With the introduction of Card Evolutions for characters like P.E.K.K.A and Mega Knight, the stakes have gotten higher in the game, and this extreme phone case is Supercell’s way of marking the occasion.

Ready to take on the challenge? Join Eddie Hall and millions of players in the Clash Royale arena by downloading the game on iOS or Android – though you probably won’t need a 50lb phone case to get started!
